Jenna

Jenna slowly limped home, dragging her feet across the cold pavement. A sharp pain struck her every time she put pressure on her swollen broken ankle. Her vision blurred through her tear filled eyes, bruised with a dark shade of purple. She grasped her stomach in agonizing pain as she stood there on her welcome mat in front of her home. Jenna took a deep breath to face her mother and hesitantly turns the knob. “I’m home mom” she said under her breath. Her mother walked up to her for a hug, but froze when she got a glimpse of Jenna’s fragile, beaten figure. Her eyes widened in confusion and fear. “I’m okay. I just fell.” Jenna responded to her mother’s frightful expression. She turned around and made her way into her bedroom, locked the door, and melted to the floor. Jenna was on her knees, unable to hold herself up. She shriveled into a ball of hopelessness and sobbed endlessly. She hated herself. She hated the fact that she was incapable of telling her own mother that three schoolmates had tortured her behind a building after-school  Two grabbed her long black hair, while the other repeatedly pounded her face with rock hard fists. The physical pain was excruciating, but their words pierced and ripped her heart apart. "You're so annoying, you worthless piece of trash. Why don't you just kill yourself, so we don't have to do it? Stupid, ugly, fat whore!" At that moment, Jenna wanted more than anything to stop living.

  1. You know it's a damn shame these things happen everyday. I saw your tweet and thought I'd come on to read your blog. This is the first time I comment on anything but I've been feeling this in my heart that I have to get involved and help stop and teach others about this epidemic. It's happening everywhere. Some witness this and do nothing. Students have to reach out and stop it from happening if they witness this bullying. But I understand that in order for others to get involved they also have to be educated and given the facts and show that this is a major problem in our young society today. It's crazy too but it also happens at home. Even with siblings, brothers and sisters. I could still hear my brothers tease me infront of others and everyone laughing. Theres teasing but it goes beyond that. When you start to constantly tease and poke fun at someone because of either the way their ears or their nose or the way the dress. It all begins with small comment like that that creates some sort of insecurity in a child. And daily they will look at themselves and start believing it.

  2. Sigh... used to be bullied at school and even on the streest, just because I'm asian they would call me all kind of names. But the worst thing is I now even get bullied and humiliated at home by own family.. That's why I really admire your family and I love your videos! <3
